Building Beneficial Relationships with Customers, Suppliers and Contractors

In this Lunch and Launch, John Carter will
provide entrepreneurs an overview of the issues and necessary techniques
to establish and maintain longer term "win-win" relationships with
customers, strategic suppliers and independent contractors. This program
is perfect for all existing businesses that are embarking on new
business relationships or that have current relationships that need fine tuning or improvement.
More specifically, this program looks at
the various types of contractual relationships available to Michigan
businesses and the key legal considerations required to maintain these
relationships. The focus is on how to prevent and resolve potential
conflict, minimize potential liability, share risk and expenses while
meeting customer demands and responding to changes in local market
conditions. The program format will include actual case studies and
examples of successful joint ventures and other relationships from local
technology and manufacturing businesses.
John Carter is a
principal member at Witzke Berry Carter & Wander, PLLC and leads the
"Business Law and Commercial Transactions" group. He has been
practicing business and commercial law for 18 years and focuses on
assisting Michigan entrepreneurs with business formation, commercial
transactions, licensing and franchises and business succession planning.
Carter
is an active member of the Business Law and Unincorporated Enterprises
section of the Michigan Bar, and serves as a mentor and teacher with
various Michigan entrepreneurial and small business organizations. He
received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his
law degree from the University of Miami, Fl.
