Financial seminar to focus on values based giving June 27
The Office of Planned Giving will be hosting an informational evening seminar for faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the university focusing on Values-Based Financial Planning. The seminar is geared for those who are approaching retirement or just beginning to plan for the future, and will help participants align their financial goals with their personal values for a satisfying long term financial plan.
Joe Mackey is a wealth coach and partner at the Auburn Hills-based MKD Wealth Coaches. His presentation will discuss an approach to financial planning that offers more than following the directives of a financial adviser. Mackey will discuss how an individual's mission, vision, and values influence their wealth and how individual personalities can determine financial decisions.
This informative seminar will include dinner. The event is set for 5:30-7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, in the Recreation Center, Pioneer Room. Seating is limited, so reservations are required. RSVP to Angie Schmucker at schmucke@oakland.edu or (248)364-6129.
