Seminar to focus on financial transition to retirement
The Office of Planned Giving is inviting members of the campus community to attend an informational evening seminar focusing on the financial transition to retirement.
Upon retirement, individuals generally move from accumulating retirement savings to drawing down on their savings for income. Employees are invited to learn how to formulate strategies to help build a sufficient and lasting retirement income stream.
Michael Fisher Jennings, a local financial consultant, will discuss how Social Security, Medicare and long-term care impact the ever-changing retirement environment. He will also provide important information on building a lasting and sufficient retirement income stream.
This seminar is open to Oakland University faculty, staff, alumni, donors and friends. The informative seminar, set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, in the Pioneer Room of the Recreation Center, will include dinner. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
