Facilities Management to tackle campus improvement projects

In the coming months, Oakland University’s Facilities Management has a full slate of campus improvement projects planned.

Summer 2012 priority projects for  include:

  • A new three-story clubhouse at OU’s Katke-Cousins Golf Course thanks to a generous donation from longtime university benefactor Stephan Sharf.
  • Repairs to roads, parking lots and sidewalks around campus.
  • Expanded parking in lots P-1 and P-32. More than 130 new spaces will be added.
  • Department of Health Sciences and School of Nursing moved to the new Human Health Building.
  • Enhancements to Wilson Hall’s east entrance.
  • Fire safety upgrades in the Recreation Center, Oakland Center and Kresge Library.
  • Mechanical projects in Dodge Hall, Varner Hall, North Foundation Hall, Pawley Hall, Elliott Hall, Hannah Hall, Kresge Library and Shotwell-Gustafson Pavilion.
  • Renovations in John Dodge House.
  • Curtain wall replacement and mechanical work in O’ Dowd Hall.
  • Replacement of Bear Lake fountains and main entrance sign.
