Video tour offers sneak peak inside new Human Health Building

The Oakland University community is invited to take a sneak peak inside the nearly completed Human Health Building.

The new 172,000-square-foot building is set to open its doors to students in the fall 2012 semester. It will house both the School of Nursing and the School of Health Sciences, is part of Oakland's goal to transform health education and research in southeastern Michigan.

Utilizing advanced green technologies, the building and construction process were designed to be energy efficient and sustainable. The HHB is the first higher education building in the state of Michigan to be certified as Leed Platinum.

Construction has been ongoing since Oakland officials broke ground in the spring of 2010. The process has been often photographed and filmed. To watch the entire construction process as captured by webcam, click here.
