Prominent SON faculty member to deliver "Last Lecture"
Dr. Frances Jackson, an associate professor in the School of Nursing, will deliver her Last Lecture from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, in the Banquet Rooms of Oakland Center.
An integral part of the School of Nursing for nearly 35 years, Dr. Jackson has been described as bold, boisterous and blunt, but also eloquent, entertaining, devoted, passionate and compassionate.
Her lecture – titled “Who Got the Education?” – is open to any student, staff or faculty member, and friend of Dr. Jackson.
A reception to honor Dr. Jackson is planned for 3-5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 – also in the Banquet Rooms of Oakland Center. Faculty or staff members sharing well wishes, reflections and stories about have been included in the program.
