Yang Xia's lab has an Active Spring

CBR member Yang Xia’s laboratory, in the Department of Physics, has been particularly active this spring, with three publications appearing recently. The paper Depth and Orientational Dependencies of MRI T-2 and T-1 rho Sensitivities Towards Trypsin Degradation and Gd-DTPA(2-) Presence in Articular Cartilage at Microscopic Resolution was published in the April 2012 issue of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Volume 20, Pages 361-370). First author is Assistant Research Scientist Nian Wang. The article Concentration Profiles of Collagen and Proteoglycan in Articular Cartilage by Fourier Transform Infrared Imaging and Principal Component Regression appeared in the March issue of Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy (Volume 88, Pages 90-96). Research Associate Jianhua Yin was first author on that study. Finally, the March 2012 issue of Microscopy Research and Technique contained the report Anisotropic Properties of Bovine Nasal Cartilage (Volume 75, Pages 300-306). Coauthors include research associates Shaokuan Zheng and Matthew Szarko, and Biomedical Sciences: Medical Physics graduate student Ji-Hyun Lee. Xia’s laboratory is supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health.
The laboratory of CBR member Yang Xia published three papers in one week.
