Travel "Around the World in Three Hours" at International Night 2012

The Oakland University community is invited to take a tour of the globe with International Night 2012: Around the World in Three Hours. 

The annual event, set for 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 16, in the Oakland Center Banquet Rooms, will offer food, music, entertainment, fashion, and a variety of multicultural displays.

“It is very important to us to recognize how fortunate we are at OU for all the diversity we have at our own campus and in the community,” said Petra Knoche, assistant director of the International Students and Scholars Office. 

“In today's world it is important to learn about people from different backgrounds, their traditions and perspectives about life. We can all learn from one another, whether we were born in the U.S.A. or anywhere else. It should be a truly remarkable night at OU.”

International Night 2012 is sponsored by the ISSO and Center for Student Activities. It is also supported by the Student Activities Funding Board, African Student Association, Asian American Association, Black Student Union, Center for Multicultural Initiatives, China Club, Chinese Friendship Association, ESL Club, French Club, German Club, Hispanic American Leadership Organization, Indian Students Association, International Allies Organization, Japan Club, Medical Brigades, Ukrainian Student Organization, and Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority.
