Dr. Scott presented and lead the discussion with members of the AHRD Cultural Diversity Special Interest Group on “Giving Voice to Women of Color Experiences in Work Settings – Implications for HRD”. Their presentation touched on challenges women of color confront in work settings and examined race, culture and class as they influence gender roles in workplaces. Further, their presentation suggested strategies to enhance the state of women of color experiences in the workplace.
Dr. Scott is the chairperson of AHRD’s Cultural Diversity Special Interest Group, which focuses on strengthening the connection between cultural diversity research, practice, instruction and programming.
Chaunda Scott, Associate Professor, Human Resource Development, presented on March 2 at the 2012 Academy of Human Resource Development [AHRD] International Research Conference in The Americas in Denver, Colorado.
