OU's AMA selected to present at national conference
In recognition of its outstanding performance, Oakland University’s American Marketing Association collegiate chapter has been selected to present at this year’s national AMA Intercollegiate Conference.
During the event, group members will share their knowledge with hundreds of AMA chapters from around the country. Among the topics to be discussed are membership, community service and fundraising – three areas in which the group has earned national accolades.
Stephanie Moore, president of Oakland’s AMA chapter, said the group was inspired after attending last year’s conference.
“Being the chapter that others are seeking guidance from is an honor,” Moore said. “Especially since most of the chapters come from larger colleges with higher enrollments or are purely business schools.”
Along with student presentations, the conference will feature workshop sessions, a career fair and talks from various business professionals, including a representative from Google Inc.
The conference will take place March 22-24 in New Orleans. For more on Oakland’s AMA chapter, contact Moore at sjmoore@oakland.edu or visit the website.
