Macomb-OU INCubator’s Larry Herriman Promoted to Assistant Director

Larry Herriman, former Manager of Finance and Operations at the Macomb-OU INCubator, was recently promoted to Assistant Director.

Herriman previously oversaw the financial systems as Manager of Finance and Operations for the Oakland University SmartZone Business Incubator and the Macomb-OU INCubator. In addition, he was a key player in the development of the Macomb-OU INCubator by obtaining facility and furnishing donations; interviewing and hiring staff; setting up programs; and securing and administering 11 federal, state and foundational grant awards for a total of $3.4 million. As Assistant Director, Herriman will engage regularly with client companies and assist with strategic planning in addition to overseeing operations.

Herriman has a strong background in incubation and economic development, making him a key candidate for the role.

"We are very fortunate to have Larry Herriman on our team.  He has impressive experience in business incubation, and in both economic and business development. He is also responsible for laying much of the ground work for the Macomb-OU INCubator," said Julie Gustafson, Executive Director for the Macomb-OU INCubator. "In his new role as Assistant Director, he will be focusing more of his time consulting directly with businesses.
