OUAA scholarship applications accepted now through March 1

The 2012 Oakland University Alumni Association Scholarship Program is currently accepting applications for nearly 30 scholarships that benefit Oakland University students and alumni.

For example, a student who has graduated from OU and currently pursuing a second degree is eligible to apply for a Returning Alumni Scholarship. Or, a current or incoming freshman student with an alumni parent or grandparent may qualify to apply for a Legacy Scholarship. Both scholarships offered are $3,000 non-renewable awards that will be distributed over the fall 2012 and winter 2013 semesters.

Most scholarships are open to any undergraduate student with junior or senior status by fall 2012. Scholarship recipients must have two or more full-time semesters remaining in their academic program and must have a 3.0 GPA in their major field of study as well as a cumulative 3.0 GPA at OU.

Only completed applications received by March 1, 2012 will be considered. For more information contact Erin Sudrovech, associate director of alumni engagement, at sudrovec@oakland.edu or 248-364-6136.
