Get ahead of workforce competition and enroll in the Spring 2012 Project Management Principles Certificate Course at Oakland University’s School of Business Administration. Focusing on management concepts broadly applicable across a wide range of professions, the course is designed to answer the needs of companies interested in finding high-level employees capable of managing the complex, global projects in today's work environment.

Project management is a rapidly expanding field and is widely recognized across a spectrum of industries such as pharmaceuticals, building construction, vehicles, electronics, computer software, and financial services. A project manager is the person accountable for accomplishing objectives on behalf of a client they represent, as well as having the ability to adapt to the various internal procedures of the contracting party and ensuring unity among the project team.

The Project Management Principles course at the SBA is designed to assist professionals with the PMI exam certification process, and broadly covers topics that are designed to help participants become valuable project managers in multiple industries. The eight knowledge areas examined during the three-module course include project management in terms of; integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications and risk management.
