OUPD seek two home invasion suspects

The Oakland University Police Department is investigating a number of recent thefts reported to have taken place over the last few weeks from unlocked dorm rooms.

On the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 10, two unlocked dorm rooms in Hamlin Hall were illegally entered for purposes of theft. A laptop, two iPods and a student’s purse with ID were stolen from an unlocked room during a fire alarm.

The OUPD has obtained surveillance camera images of two persons of interest relative to this specific case. The images appear at right. A downloadable flier is available via the OUPD website.

The OUPD is asking anyone with information regarding these incidents or information regarding the identity of the two subjects to contact police by calling ext. 3331 via a campus telephone or (248) 370-3331 via cell phone.

In addition, all residential students are reminded to keep their dorm rooms locked at any time the rooms are unoccupied or they are sleeping.
