OU's Julianne Leigh to join Michigan Lean Consortium board
Oakland University's Julianne Leigh, director of budget for the Pawley Lean Institute, is set to join the Michigan Lean Consortium's (MLC) 2012 board of directors, an appointment that will be recognized at the End of Year Event on Friday, Dec. 2.
The MLC shares strong ties to education and Oakland through the Pawley Lean Institute and its efforts to help shape the future of Michigan.
At the End of Year Event, Rich Homberg, keynote speaker and president and general manager of Detroit Public Television, will discuss the project “The Community’s Agenda,” which is a collaboration of major market stations supported by a national discussion around “Collective Impact.”
The projects are centered around effectiveness and collaboration, which are key issues that adhere to the MLC’s values. Event attendees will be able to share their opinions on all areas of MLC strategy, including the vision, mission, future events and projects in 2012.
The End of Year event will take place from 1-4:30 p.m. at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in South Lyon with a networking reception following.
