Rising opera star to perform at OU on Saturday, Nov. 12
Rising opera star Lucas Meachem will perform at Oakland University on Saturday, Nov. 12. The performance will take place from 8-10 p.m. in Varner Recital Hall and will feature selections from Rachmaninoff, Schumann and Copeland and more.
The baritone singer has performed with world-class opera companies, including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Metropolitan Opera and the Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Most recently, he has appeared with the San Francisco Opera in the title role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Don Giovanni.”
Tickets are $20 for general admission and $10 for students. Tickets are available online at startickets.com, by phone at (248) 370-3013, or from the Varner Hall box office on the OU campus.
