2nd Student to Professional conference a success

On Saturday, October 2, 2011 OU hosted its 2nd annual Student to Professional Conference.

18 OU alumni presented on their expertise to current OU students while volunteering their time in a meaningful way. The Student to Professional Conference was spearheaded last year as an upper-class student retention project aimed at assisting students making the transition from current student to professional. The 2011 Conference Interactive sessions ranged from networking, negotiating salaries, individual branding, to conflict resolution to name a few. Keynote speaker Charlie Wollborg, ’95 Chief Troublemaker & Founding Partner at Curve Detroit Advertising, Marketing Design kicked off the conference with a dynamite presentation just days after producing and curating TEDxDetroit. All presenters were alumni volunteers and the conference attracted over 100 current students for the second straight year.
