Are you ready for The Madnezz? Mark your calendars for Friday, October 14, as the Golden Grizzlies men’s and women’s basketball teams celebrate the official start of the college basketball season. The Madnezz will kick off with a Tailgate Party in parking lot 16, across from the O’rena in front of O’Dowd Hall, as well as the Sigma Pi Pig Roast on the lawn near Elliott Hall. Both events will occur from 7 to 10 p.m.
Then, get ready to rock the O’rena as doors open for Grizz Madnezz at 10 p.m. There will be a DJ, light show, prizes, and – of course – OU basketball! The OU Alumni Association and Student Alumni Association are proud to present an exciting new addition to this year’s event – celebrity emcee and Detroit Pistons announcer, John Mason! So, put on your black and gold and join us for an exciting night out at OU!
Because space is limited, those interested in tailgating will need to register their vehicle through the Center for Student Activities office at 248-370-4407. The Madnezz is sponsored by OU Student Congress, Office of the President, Athletics Department, Student Affairs division and the OU Alumni Association and is free and open to the public.
