Make a Difference Day

Oakland University alumni are invited to volunteer and join United Way for Southeastern Michigan and current OU students as we come together to give back on the annual Make a Difference Day 2011. This year, Make a Difference Day will begin at Pontiac High School, located at 1051 Arlene Avenue in Pontiac, MI.

8:15 a.m. - Registration and breakfast at Pontiac High School
9:15 a.m. - Depart to specific volunteer destination
Noon - Lunch with fellow alumni and student volunteers back at Pontiac High School
12:30 p.m. Reflections on the day

Make a Difference Day is the most comprehensive national day of service – "a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors." Millions have participated in this day of service. There are several locations within OU’s neighboring communities of Pontiac and Auburn Hills for participants to choose from.

Register here or connect with Luke Fleer, associate director of Alumni Engagement at (248)364-6142 or fleer@oakland.edu to volunteer with fellow OU alumni and current OU students as we serve the greater community of Pontiac and Auburn Hills.
