Meadow Brook Hall to host sixth annual Wild Game Dinner Fundraiser

Experience the taste of the wild waterways of Michigan at the sixth annual Wild Game dinner fundraiser, “Wild Waters,” to benefit the preservation of Meadow Brook Hall.

The benefit takes place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, beginning with a raffle and tour of the historic mansion. The evening continues with a cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception, followed by a seated gourmet “wild” or “mild” meal, and silent and live auctions.

The featured “wild” tastes include:
  • An acorn squash bisque with sautéed Creole alligator,
  • pulled Mallard duck confit paired with panko-pecan Rocky Mountain cutthroat trout
  • a raspberry Linzer tart
For those with a more domestic palette, an alternative “mild” menu is available.

The auctions will include a wide array of items including guns, fishing and hunting trips, golf packages, sports memorabilia, spa treatments, jewelry and more.

In a special exhibition from the Meadow Brook collection, guests will have the opportunity to explore “Wild Waters” and its importance to Michigan’s recreational lands. Learn about the Dodge Motor Car company gifts in John Dodge’s name to the State of Michigan, and the Dodge family’s love for the outdoors. See original family pictures and decorative objects that represented this love, including a sterling silver Cartier letter opener sporting a fly fishing theme.

Reservations for Wild Waters are required. Tickets are $75 per person. Tables of ten can be purchased for $650. Call (248) 364-6263 or visit meadowbrookhall.org to make a reservation. Visa and Mastercard accepted. For more information, view the flyer.
