Rochester chamber welcomes OU students back to the community
Oakland University’s incoming residential freshmen and their parents will receive a warm welcome this weekend from the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce.
“This is the fourth time we will be working Labor Day weekend, as freshmen check into their dorms on campus. We are pleased to give eager students and their parents an opportunity to become acquainted with the community by handing them a welcome package for the area,” said Sheri Heiney, executive director of the chamber.
The welcome package consists of information and gifts from local businesses in and around the greater Rochester area. This OU Welcome Week giveaway was developed in partnership with the university.
The mission of the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce is to provide leadership and resources in order to advance business development in partnership with civic, cultural and educational interests for the benefit of its members and the community.
