7th annual OU Night at Comerica Park

“Awesome, will keep an eye out, Go Grizz,” tweeted Mario Impemba, TV voice of the Detroit Tigers and radio and TV voice of Golden Grizzlies Men’s Basketball, in response to the OUAA tweet about the game. There was no surprise then in the sixth inning some forty thousand fans heard over the public address system, “Let’s make some noise section 113!” Two hundred and forty OU alumni and friends found themselves on the jumbo screen, cheering on the Tigers.

It was a perfect evening for one of America’s favorite pastimes as the Detroit Tigers battled the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday, August 17th during the 7th annual OU Night at Comerica Park. Many enjoyed the inaugural charter bus experience that will become an annual staple. Alums enjoyed an all-you-can-eat picnic dinner, donned their Grizzly t-shirts sponsored by Brian McCarthy, Owner, Primo Crafts, and networked prior to the game with fellow alums and friends on Party Deck 1 inside Comerica Park. Later, seated in the lower bowl along the right field line in section 113, fans readied themselves to catch foul balls as the evening settled into a picture perfect Michigan summer night.

OU Tigers fans mark your calendars for the next annual OU Night at Comerica Park in August 2012!
