OUPD offers Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) classes for females
he Oakland University Police Department is accepting registrations for the following Rape Aggression Defense classes open to female participants:
Course: Basic RAD Dates: September 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29, 2011 Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays Time: 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm Location: Campus Recreation and Athletic Center
Course: Basic RAD Dates: October 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 2011 Days: Mondays and Wednesdays Time: 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm Location: Campus Recreation and Athletic Center
The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for females only. The RAD System is a comprehensive course which begins with awareness, prevention and risk reduction, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. RAD is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by highly trained instructors from the Oakland University Police Department and each student is provided with a workbook and reference manual.
The 18 hour Basic RAD class is free to OU students and affiliates and $35.00 for non-students and non-affiliates.
