Become an OU Adopt-A-Stream Volunteer

The Oakland University Stormwater Committee seeks to improve water quality by implementing water quality programs and best practices and educating the campus community on important water quality initiatives.
Working with our partner, the Clinton River Watershed Council, OU is hosting Adopt-a-Stream Basic Training on Tuesday April 5, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Oakland Center Heritage Room.  Participants will learn techniques for assessing the health of creeks and rivers in the Clinton River Watershed, one of which,  Galloway Creek, runs through the Oakland University Campus.  Upon completion of this training, participants are eligible to work with the OU Adopt-a-Stream site team to collect data from Galloway Creek.  The OU Adopt-a-Stream monitoring event is scheduled for Friday, May 13, 2011 from 3-5 p.m.  For more information, contact Environmental Health and Safety.
