Upcoming concert features top mashup, electro-pop and hip-hop acts
A night of mashup remixes, electro-pop and hip-hop will be on tap beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at Meadow Brook Music Festival as Oakland University's Student Program Board presents Girl Talk and LMFAO with special guest G-Eazy.
Girl Talk, aka Gregg Gillis, is on the road following the release of "All Day," his fifth sample-rich album. The former biomedical engineer has played more than 300 shows in ever-larger venues and is known for his concert spectacles.
LMFAO – consisting of rappers Redfoo (Stefan Gordy) and Sky Blu (Skyler Gordy), the son and nephew, respectively, of Motown label founder Berry Gordy – are supporting their upcoming, self-described "party rock" studio album "Sorry for Party Rocking." The duo previously headlined a sold-out, two-month tour of the United States and Canada.
And, special guest G-Eazy promises Mardi Gras energy with a West Coast attitude in his show.
Tickets are available at the CSA Service Window, lower level Oakland Center, or through Ticketmaster.com. For more information, visit oakland.edu/spb or call (248) 370-4407.
