Summit League Tournament play begins this Saturday, March 5, at the Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Oakland University’s No. 1 seeded men’s basketball team and No. 4 seeded women’s basketball team will be competing for a chance at championship titles - and NCAA berths - during final games on Tuesday, March 8.
If the women’s basketball team advances to the championship game, they will play at 4 p.m. EST Tuesday afternoon on ESPNU. If the men’s basketball team advances to the championship game, they will play at 9 p.m. EST Tuesday evening on ESPN2.
Summit League Semifinal Game - Monday, March 7, 2011
If the men’s basketball team advances to the semifinal game on Monday, March 7 FSN Detroit will be broadcasting the game starting at 7 p.m. in the metro Detroit area. Alumni and friends are invited to attend the semifinal watch party planned at Red Ox in Auburn Hills, across from OU, starting at 6:00 p.m.

If either team makes it to the final round on Tuesday, the OUAA invites all alumni, friends, faculty and staff to gather at local watch parties to cheer on the Golden Grizzlies! The women’s watch party will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Buffalo Wild Wings. Three men’s watch parties are planned beginning at 8:00 p.m. in:
OUAA will host at Buffalo Wilds Wings in Rochester Hills with wings specials and late night happy hour specials beginning early for OU fans at 8 p.m.
OU-Macomb will host at Buffalo Wild Wings, in Mt. Clemens with wings specials and late night happy hour specials beginning early for OU fans at 8 p.m.
Stefen J. Welch, ’05, will host at Hockey Town Café in Detroit with late night happy hour specials.
