Career and networking events abound at OU in March
Oakland University students are invited to learn more about employment opportunities in Michigan by attending any of several job recruitment and networking events during the month of March. These include:
University Education Collaboration Fair
10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 9 – Oakland Center Banquet Rooms
A collaboration between Oakland University, Saginaw State University and U-M Flint, this event targets elementary and secondary education school districts both in and out-of-state to promote education positions to students.
Human Health Career Expo
12-3 p.m., Friday, March 11 – Oakland Center Banquet Rooms
This is a career exploration fair organized by the School of Nursing, the School of Health Sciences and Oakland University Career Services to promote careers in human health. The event will include at least two dozen employers.
Government Career Mixer
12-1 p.m., Tuesday, March 15 – Oakland Center Gold Rooms
This networking event with federal and state agencies will allow students to speak directly with representatives from a variety of government agencies and learn more about career options within each department. A total of 15 agencies are registered to participate.
Speed Networking
1-3 p.m., Friday, March 18 – Banquet Rooms
Speed Networking, modeled after speed dating, provides a fast-paced way for students to learn more about various careers, practice networking and discover potential job and internship leads in their field of interest. Alumni and students can register here.
OU students can attend learn more about employment in Michigan at several job recruitment and networking events during the month of March.
