Nominations for the 2011 AP Awards accepted until Feb. 23
Administrative and professional employees of Oakland University who demonstrated exemplary service and exceptional contributions in 2010 may be eligible for a $1,000 AP Award.
Nominations for the award program will be accepted until Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011. They may be made by supervisors, peers or co-workers. Employees also may self-nominate. To be eligible for the awards, AP employees must have a hire date before Jan. 4, 2010. However, employees who were rated as "Needs Improvement" on their last performance appraisal will not be eligible for an award.
Awards criteria are listed in 11 categories, including advancements in customer service, environment, diversity, technology and community; fundraising; and advancement of the 2020 OU profile. Nominations should focus on how employee contributions went above and beyond his or her job responsibilities in one or more of the criteria.
Nominations may be forwarded to the next-level supervisor for additional comments or sent directly to the president or divisional vice president.
The AP awards will be announced in late March. For more information, contact Mike LaFave at (248) 370-3477 or at lafave@oakland.edu.
