Leading the way with a league-best 63 student-athletes, Oakland University has earned the top place on The Summit League All-Academic Teams.

Student-athletes must have at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) during their season of competition and have used a semester of eligibility to earn a place on their sports' All-Academic Team. An additional 26 OU student-athletes earned the distinction of Scholar Athlete by earning a 3.6-or-better GPA and eight Oakland student-athletes finished with all-As during the semester.

During the fall semester, a total of 481 Summit League student-athletes earned a spot on the All-Academic teams in the sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball.

It is the third consecutive term that the Golden Grizzlies have led the way for The Summit League. South Dakota State is in second place with 55 athletes and IUPUI third with 51 athletes recognized. Both IPFW and Western Illinois had 50 team members. UMKC had 48 honorees followed by Oral Roberts (45), Centenary (43), Southern Utah (39) and North Dakota State (37).
