Graduation applications due Friday, Jan. 28, for spring commencement

For students who expect to graduate in April or June 2011, the deadline to apply for graduation is this Friday, Jan. 28.

The applications for both undergraduate and graduate students are available online. Once an application is submitted, an audit will be conducted and approval will be obtained by the appropriate academic unit. For questions regarding a Degree Application or Diploma call (248) 370-3460.
 
For all graduation needs, degree candidates are encouraged to attend the spring 2011 Graduation Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, and Wednesday, March 16, in the Oakland Center Fireside Lounge and the OU Bookstore, located on the lower level of the Oakland Center.

Students can stop by the Academic Affairs table for commencement confirmation and to pick up guest tickets. Guest tickets are required and are only available at the Graduation Fair.

Students also can purchase graduation regalia, announcements, class rings, diploma frames and more. For more information, visit the Graduation Fair website.

Commencement exercises for April and June degree candidates will take place on Saturday, April 30, at the Baldwin Pavilion on the Meadow Brook Music Festival grounds.

• Undergraduate Candidates
9 a.m. - Bachelor of Integrative Studies and College of Arts and Sciences
5 p.m. – School of Education and Human Services, School of Nursing, School of Health Sciences, School of Business Administration and School of Engineering and Computer Science.

• All Masters and Doctoral Candidates – 1 p.m.

Those eligible to receive university honors (GPA 3.6 and above) and/or school, departmental or conciliar honors will receive their honor cords to wear during the ceremony at the registration table on the day of the ceremony. For more information, visit the Commencement website.
