Vote now for MBH and OU in local magazine's "Best of" awards

Oakland University community members and supporters are encouraged to cast their votes in the Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine 2011 “Best of Awards.” This year, Oakland University’s Meadow Brook Hall is vying for honors as Metro Detroit’s top cultural venue, meeting/event venue and most unconventional meeting/event venue.

In 2010, Meadow Brook Hall captured the award for Best Meeting/Event Venue.

“We’d really like to hold the title again this year,” said Shannon O’ Berski, marketing and communications manager for Meadow Brook Hall. In addition, Oakland University is competing for the best college or university meeting/event venue.

For ballots to count, voters must select a candidate in 10 award categories. The Meadow Brook Hall events staff recommends these outstanding vendor partners as deserving candidates in the following categories:

• Top Cultural Venue - Meadow Brook Hall
• Meeting/ Event Venue - Meadow Brook Hall
• Unconventional Meeting/ Event Venue - Meadow Brook Hall
• Best College or University Meeting/ Event Venue - Oakland University
• Transportation – First Class Valet
• Décor Provider – C&N Party Rentals
• Entertainment – MaryAnn Productions
• Florist – The Parsonage
• Golf Venue – Oakland University Golf and Learning Center
• Meeting/Event Planning Company – Emerald City Designs
