Actor and OU alumnus Joe Nipote to host comedy night on Dec. 18

An Oakland University alumnus will be supporting the local community through a special evening of fun and laughs. Actor and comedian Joe Nipote’s comedySLAM will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.

The evening includes performances by stand up comics Brian Kiley, Jimmy Shubert, Bob Nelson, Danny Cole and Rob Pearson, with a special appearance by WDIV Channel 4 meteorologist Chuck Gaidica. Live music will be provided by the Simone Vitale Band.

Reserved tickets are available for $25, $50 and $100 each. The $100 ticket package includes preferred seating and an invitation to a VIP after-party with the ComedySLAM stars immediately following the show.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Forgotten Harvest, a community-based food rescue organization dedicated to fighting hunger in the Metro Detroit area.
