Annual Giving Tree charity event runs through Dec. 17
By Melissa Sochaki, student writer
The annual charity Giving Tree event is in open at the Oakland Branch of the MSU Federal Credit Union until Friday, Dec. 17.
The Giving Tree is decorated with slips of paper with gifts desired by area children on it. Participants can select an item off the tree to purchase for the needy child. As a thank you for their support, each person to bring in a gift will also receive a stuffed animal. Cash donations are also accepted.
The Auburn Hills Firefighters Helping Hands program has developed this tradition to help brighten the holiday season for members of the community.
Participants can visit the Oakland Branch of the MSU Federal Credit Union right across from Oakland University at 3265 Five Points Drive, Auburn Hills, MI.
