Homecoming is nearly here!  Join fellow alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends at OU’s winter homecoming celebration, Come Home to OU, January 28-30, 2011.

This year’s event will feature a new Alumni Welcome Reception, scheduled for Friday night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the “home” of OU, Meadow Brook Hall.  Kick-off homecoming weekend with former classmates and old friends as you enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar.  The event is free, but pre-registration is required at grizzlink.oualumni.com/events.

On Saturday morning, various academic units will host open houses to showcase student achievements, faculty research, building renovations and more.  If you haven’t been back to campus lately, this is a great time to check out what’s happened since you left!

And don’t forget about the OUAA Family Festival inside the Campus Recreation Center from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 29.  Enjoy the bungee run, an inflatable obstacle course, air-brushed face painting and more!  Admission is free and open to everyone.  Tailgate fare like hot dogs, popcorn and other snacks will be provided.

Then, cheer on the Golden Grizzlies basketball teams at 3:30 p.m. (women) and again at 6 p.m. (men) as they face conference opponent Centenary College. For more information on ticket prices, visit OU Athletics at ougrizzlies.com.
