Oakland University will host Campaign Roundup 2010, a panel discussion "debriefing" on the recent midterm elections, beginning at noon on Thursday, Nov. 18, in the university's Oakland Center Banquet Room B. Panelists will include:
Chuck Stokes, editorial director of WXYZ-TV;
Bernie Porn, founding principal and president of EPIC/MRA Survey Research;
Susan Demas of Michigan Information and Research Service (MIRS);
Rich Robinson, executive director of the Michigan Campaign Finance Network; and
Terri Towner, assistant professor in OU's Department of Political Science.
"We host experts from the worlds of politics and journalism who have been involved in the campaign to share their expertise and experience with us," said David Dulio, associate professor and chair of Oakland's Department of Political Science. "In addition, we can look at what lies ahead as winning candidates become elected officials and turn to the difficult task of governing."
Lunch will be served at noon, with the panel discussion beginning at 12:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, although guests are asked to RSVP to polisci@oakland.edu.
Campaign Roundup 2010 is presented by Oakland University's Department of Political Science, College of Arts and Sciences Dean's office, College Democrats, College Republicans, Student Congress and Pi Sigma Alpha.
