Introducing: Stinson Student Advancement Center

You're invited to be part of the celebration and grand opening of the SBA's Stinson Student Advancement Center, Monday, Dec. 13, at 5 p.m., second floor, Elliott Hall. This event will celebrate phase two of the Elliott Hall renovation, as the SBA continues transforming its spaces to help transform student lives. This phase continues the effort to create a feeling of community among SBA students -- whether they are residential or commuter -- by consolidating student services to encourage career enrichment, education and socialization.

The state-of-the-art Stinson Student Advancement Center supports the three tenets of the SBA -- integrative thinking, experiential learning and global understanding -- through a student interaction room that offers tools for global interactions, collaborations, alumni-student interaction, project sponsor-student interactions and business leadership forums. Together with a separate Network Security Lab, an executive and professional education room and a new cafe that serves coffee and sandwiches, SBA has invested more than $1 million to support its student-centered goal.

The Stinson Student Advancement Center is named for Ann and Craig Stinson, longtime supporters of Oakland University and the School of Business Administration.
