Economics department welcomes new advisory board member

The School of Business Administration's Economic department recently welcomed Paul Traub SBA MBA '91 , to its advisory board.

 

Traub is president of Scenario Economics LLC,  an independent economic research and forecasting company specializing in the analysis of the ever-changing economic landscape and its potential impact on the business environment, and a senior economist for Americas Commercial Transportation Research Company, LLC (ACT Research), a recognized leader in data, market analysis and forecasting for the commercial vehicle industry.

 

Prior to these positions, Traub was corporate economist at Chrysler from which he retired in 2008. During his 17 years in Chrysler's Corporate Economist office his responsibilities included tracking the economy and forecasting its impact on North American auto sales. His speaking engagements have included both the Michigan and Ohio Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors meetings, the Society of Automotive Analyst’s Automotive Outlook Conference, the Forum on Global Energy, Economy, and Security (The Aspen Institute) and the Bear Stearns Global Transport & Logistics Conference.

 

Established to provide service to the department, the board provides advice relating to curriculum, the business environment and university issues; assists students in a variety of ways including arranging speakers and creating student awards; and participating in activities in the department as well as the university overall.

Collectively, they have raised significant sums of money to support awards to students and to institute a fall lecture series.”
