Tip-Off Breakfast set to celebrate beginning of basketball season

Oakland University’s basketball teams will mark the beginning of their 2010-11 campaigns with a special Tip-off Breakfast from 7:15 – 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester.

Coaches, staff and team members will be on hand to give fans an inside look into what is sure to be a season full of classic golden grizzly thrills and excitement.

Attendees will have a chance to bid on an array of exclusive Oakland basketball items and promotions, including:

• A four-course gourmet lunch at Meadow Brook Hall with head coaches Greg Kampe and Beckie Francis.
• A VIP ticket package for Oakland’s game against Michigan State on Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
• A VIP ticket package for Oakland’s game against the University of Michigan on Saturday, Dec. 18 at Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor.
• A personalized 2010 Men’s Basketball Summit League Championship ring.

Sponsorships are available from $300 to $1,000. Individual reservations are available for $25 and must be made by Wednesday, Oct. 20. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $35 each, with a special price of $200 for a table of eight. Basketball VIP members for the 2010-11 season will receive preferred seating.
