OUCARES to host 5th Annual Red Carpet Film Premiere
During a two-week camp hosted in August by the Oakland University Center for Autism Research, Education and Support (OUCARES), children on the autism spectrum learned to write, act, direct and edit their own film.
Well-known actor, director and entertainer Joey Travolta led the camp, and participants enjoyed an inclusive setting designed to help them express themselves on the big screen.
On Saturday, Oct.16, OUCARES will host a Red Carpet Film Premiere to showcase and celebrate the talents and creativity the children displayed in creating their short film.
The event, which is open to the public, will begin with a Red Carpet Grand Entrance at 7 p.m. and the premiere at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and available by visiting oakland.edu/oucaresstore and clicking on Events.
