Three SBA alums to be honored at OUAA November Awards Banquet

This year, three School of Business Administration alums will be honored at the 16th OU Alumni Awards Banquet, Saturday, Nov. 6, in the Oakland Center. Join OU alumni and friends at this annual event that honors those who have achieved success in business, community service, volunteerism and more.

SBA alumni honorees include:

Craig Stinson, SBA ‘84, chairman, Norma Group GmBH, who will receive the Distinguished Alumni Service Award -- OU's highest alumni honor -- which recognizes peerless volunteer leadership in service to OU or its alumni association.

Thomas Schaeffler, SBA ‘85, executive VP and COO, Credit Union One, who will receive the Spirit Award, which recognizes exemplary volunteer service to the university.

The Honorable Bryan Barnett, SBA ’98, mayor, Rochester Hills, who will receive the first Outstanding Young Alumni Award. This new award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated the worth of their education through their post-college achievements and, generally, have graduated within the last ten years.

The celebration will also include special recognition of previous alumni award recipients.

Tickets are $75 for OUAA members and $100 for non-members. Table sponsorships are available for $1000 (10 seats). For more information on sponsorships, contact Amy Yurgalonis at (248) 364-6134 or yurgalon@oakland.edu. The deadline for registration is Friday, October 22.
