Beta Alpha Psi, a professional accounting fraternity, is hosting its 18th annual recruiters reception Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m., in Banquet Room A of the Oakland Center. All accounting, finance and MIS majors are invited to attend and make connections with CPA and financial firms.
This job fair offers SBA students an opportunity to present themselves professionally to firms prior to the start of the fall recruiting season. To be prepared, students should dress professionally, bring a resume, and be prepared to answer questions about expected graduation date, plans for taking the CPA exam, preferred line of service and current course completion.
Firms that have confirmed attendance to date include UHY, Rehmann PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Plante & Moran, Clayton & McKervy and Doeren Mayhew. Other firms are likely to attend. In addition, Oakland University Career Services representatives will be on site to assist students with career-building strategies as well as to discuss the many services available to students.
