Combined registration continues for fall and winter classes
Eligible Oakland University students may continue to register for fall 2010 and winter 2011 classes.
Fall classes begin Thursday, September 2. There’s still time to meet with an academic adviser before registering for classes. Oakland advisers help guide students in their course selection, review progress toward fulfillment of degree requirements, interpret and clarify policies and procedures, and more.
Undergraduate students should go to the Academic Advising Contact website for a list of advising contacts in each school or college. Graduate students should contact their academic department.
To register, students should follow these steps:
Go to the OU home page (oakland.edu)
Click on SAIL (in the upper right-hand corner of the OU home page)
Log in using your NetID and password
Once inside the portal, click on Register for Classes
Before registering, click on Check Your Registration Status (to view any holds or registration permits/overrides)
Select a term (to avoid errors, register for fall 2010 courses before winter 2011 courses)
Students are encouraged to check out these other helpful tips and FAQs about combined fall 2010 and winter 2011 registration.
For important billing and payment information, including available payment plans, visit the Student Business Services website. Fall tuition will be due in September 2010 and winter tuition will be due in January 2011. Students expecting financial aid or a scholarship to pay a bill can check their financial aid status and awards on SAIL at mysail.oakland.edu. All financial aid will be deducted from a student’s bill.
