MBH's Jazz in the Garden features Metro Detroit musicians
Enjoy live cool jazz at a great American estate. Local jazz musicians George “Sax” Benson and trio “Birds on a Wire” return to Meadow Brook Hall for the annual summer Jazz in the Garden concert series.
George “Sax” Benson will perform Thursday, July 22, and “Birds on a Wire” will perform Thursday, Aug. 19. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. and last until 10 p.m. Admission is $30 per person, which includes a main floor tour of The Hall and light hors d’oeuvres.
The hors d’oeuvres menu includes a variation the following: spinach artichoke dip with crispy pita chips, corn tortilla chips with house-made salsa, seasonal garden vegetable crudités with savory dip, fresh fruits and berries with yogurt coulis and mixed nuts. A cash bar will be available.
Throughout the year Meadow Brook Hall hosts a variety of educational programs and special events. All proceeds from the programs support the preservation and interpretation of The Hall.
