Pawley Lean Institute offers scholarships for Lean students

The Oakland University Pawley Lean Institute is offering scholarships to students with knowledge of Lean principles or experience implementing Lean.

Funded by the Pawley Lean Institute and Oakland University Outreach, the scholarships range from $1,000 to $1,500 awards and are available to both graduate and undergraduate students.

The Dennis and Carlotta Pawley Endowed Graduate Student Lean Award honors the continued study by graduate students of Lean knowledge, research and practices.

The Undergraduate Student Lean Award honors those who demonstrate their knowledge of interdisciplinary principles and concepts underlying Lean thinking and leadership through the use of Lean skills in course work, including class projects, internships, independent studies or presentations, either in class or in a work environment.

Students who wish to apply must fill out an application form as well as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The deadline to apply for both the graduate and undergraduate scholarships is June 18, 2010. Completed applications must be sent to the OU-Macomb office in Clinton Township, Mich.
