Anthony Shkrelja receives the Economics Advisory Board Award

Ed Eickhoff, Chairperson of the Department of Economics Advisory Board, presented the 2009-10 Advisory Board Award to Anthony Shkrelja at the Fall 2009 meeting of the Board. The award is for $1,000.

The candidates for the award must have completed at least four economics courses by the end of the Spring Semester with a minimum GPA in Economics of 3.0 and have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. The candidates shall also have clearly demonstrated an exemplary service to   some   aspect of  the   Oakland University community. Membership in the Economics Students’ Association (ESA) and/or the Women’s Economic Society of Oakland (WESO) is recommended.

 

Based on the above criteria, the Economics Department Scholarship and Awards Committee makes a recommendation to the Economics Department’s Board of Advisors. The selection of the award recipient has to be approved by the Board of Advisors. Anthony Shkrelja was the clear choice for the 2009-10 award. Anthony is the President of the Economics Student’s Association (ESA).
