Earth Day: Celebrating 40 Years

Earth Day is April 22, 2010

Earth Day will be celebrated on April 22, 2010.  The first Earth Day, celebrated in 1970, was organized as a kind of protest to draw attention to important environmental issues.  Today, the Earth Day Network remains committed to educating the public and providing them with the tools to get involved and improve the environment, both at home and globally.
