NCAA Basketball Tournament Update

Oakland University’s men’s basketball team brought home the Summit League title last week and is now headed to the Big Dance! No. 14 seed OU will face No. 3 seed Pittsburgh on Friday, March 19 at 2:55 p.m. EDT in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Oakland University Alumni Association invites all alumni, friends, faculty and staff to gather together and cheer on the Golden Grizzlies during another local watch party! The watch party will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Buffalo Wilds Wings in Rochester Hills at the corner of Livernois and Walton. For those alumni and friends who are unable to join us at Buffalo Wild Wings, the game will be televised on CBS.

In addition, the OUAA will host a special gathering for alumni and friends who live in and around Milwaukee, as well as other alumni who will be traveling to see the game. The Milwaukee Alumni Gathering and Watch Party will be held at Buckhead Saloon in downtown Milwaukee at 1044 North Old World 3rd Street beginning at 12 p.m. For directions, call 414-390-0233.

For ticket information, please contact the Athletics ticket office directly at 248-370-4000. Alumni and friends traveling to and from Milwaukee will need to find their own transportation. If you are planning to attend the games in Milwaukee, however, there are two local hotels holding room blocks for OU alumni and friends. When calling for your reservation, please reference the Oakland University Alumni room block and call by the deadline date listed below.
