SON to host Third Annual Nurse Practitioner Networking Night
Oakland University’s School of Nursing will host the third annual Nurse Practitioner Networking Night from 6-8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 19.
Breakout information groups during the event will help participants learn how to enhance their roles as nurse practitioners, and the evening also will provide opportunities to meet and mingle with community healthcare sponsors on job opportunities.
Michigan Chief Nursing Executive Jeanette Klemczak will present “Michigan APNs Scope of Practice: Update and Current Issues,” and attendees will have a chance to interact with her in smaller group settings.
The networking night is offered free of charge to all students, faculty, graduates and preceptors. Dinner is included and door prizes will be awarded. Sponsors include the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association Great Lakes Chapter, the Michigan Council for Nurse Practitioners and MidMichigan Health.
The event will take place in Oakland Center Gold Rooms B and C on Oakland University’s campus. To register, contact Alison Wagner at (248) 370-3799 or wagner2@oakland.edu.
