OU teams with Altair to offer certificate program in business intelligence and data mining
Rochester, Mich. – Combining data mining and business intelligence skills can help decision makers solve their business needs, gain competitive advantages and harness emerging trends to improve both cost effectiveness and time and resource efficiency.
Oakland University’s School of Business Administration has partnered with Altair to offer a new, market-leading data mining and business intelligence certificate program that teaches business leaders to do exactly this.
Classroom lectures and case studies involving the medical, financial, quality and warranty business environments are designed to show participants how to use Altair Business Intelligence HiQube software to make competitive business decisions.
A unique component of the program is an industry internship in which students put their new skills to work at an Altair business host site, as well as make new professional contacts and network in new areas such as health care and information technology.

Prospective students must hold a bachelor or masters of science, preferably in the fields of IT, computer science, engineering, business, sales, marketing, operations management, procurement or finance.
