The Oakland University Alumni Association is now accepting applications for the 2010-11 Academic Year. Admitted students may be eligible to apply for a Legacy Scholarship! To qualify a student must be:
A child or grandchild of an Oakland University alumnus or alumna who is a current member of the Oakland University Alumni Association (OUAA).
A high school senior who has been admitted and plans to attend Oakland University for the freshman year or a freshman student who will attend OU during the sophomore year.
A continuous, full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester for the duration of the award and has a cumulative high school or undergraduate GPA of at least 3.00 or an ACT score of at least 21.
Applications will be considered based on academic achievement as well as extra-curricular school and community activities. The deadline to apply for these and other scholarships offered by the OUAA is March 1, 2010. If students meet the qualifications listed above, they need to print and complete the Legacy Application and submit it to the address provided. Only completed applications received by the deadline date will be considered. ****Alumni Admissions Ambassadors who may be considering going back to school, the Returning Alumni Scholarship, is open to ANY OU GRADUATE who is returning to OU for a second degree.****
